The #1 most often asked question... Is it scary?

What are the hours of operation?
Opening night Friday, September 25th: 7:30pm to 12am

Any other Friday or Saturday night: 7pm to Midnight

Any open date other than Friday or Saturday: 7pm to 10pm.

NECROPOLIS often stays open later to accommodate patrons on busy nights but the box office will not close earlier than the above posted times.

What time does the line start forming?
Early in the season, arriving at opening time is fine. As the season gets closer to Halloween the crowds get larger earlier.

How long is the wait in line?
In general, we try to keep the wait line to under 30 minutes. The last two weekends In October and on Halloween the lines get much longer. Visiting NECROPOLIS earlier in the month or on a weeknight would most likely avoid the long lines.

How long does it take to go through the haunted attractions?
To answer this question we’d have to know if you freeze when you’re frightened or do you run?

You go through at your own pace so the length of experience varies from group to group. To go through all four attractions takes an average of 40 to 50 minutes. The lines get longer, the closer it gets to Halloween. You may encounter wandering creatures as soon as you exit your car so be on your guard.

If I get there 5 minutes before closing and I bought a ticket for all 4 attractions, will NECROPOLIS close before I get the chance to see all four attractions?
The attractions are kept running until the last patron has exited. We stop selling tickets but the shows keep running until the lines are gone.

Can I make a reservation?
No, NECROPOLIS is first come, first served. You can avoid most of the line by buying an AIA (Almost Immediate Access).

What are the prices for the different haunted houses?
NECROPOLIS is actually 4 haunted houses/attractions. The main one is the MANSION. The three additional are THE CEMETERY, THE FACTORY and THE ART MUSEUM. Tickets are sold for single attraction admission. The ONLY single attraction ticket is to the MANSION.

Combo tickets will admit to all four attractions.

They must be viewed in the following order: THE MANSION; THE CEMETERY; HELLUSIONS: THE ART MUSEUM and DARK TERRORS: THE FACTORY.

Does NECROPOLIS accept credit cards?
Yes, our box office accepts Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.

Can I buy ticket in advance?
You certainly may. This link will take you right there. WILL NEED TO PUT UPDATES LINK HERE http://necropolis.ticketleap.com/necropolis-2014

Is there a way to avoid waiting in line?
We offer our AIA (Almost Immediate Access) ticket at both our ticket trailer and our on-line sight. This ticket is in addition to our normal admission ticket. It allows you to jump to the front to the line outside our building. There is still a small wait prior to be admitted to the first attraction. The wait inside our building is usually proportionate to the wait outside the build. If the wait outside is 30 minutes, the additional wait inside is probably less than 10 minutes. If the wait outside is over an hour, the wait inside is probably less than 20 min.

NOTE: It is very difficult to predict if an AIA ticket will be necessary. Our longest lines are usually Friday and Saturday evenings and Halloween evening. Weather and “special” pricing can greatly affect our lines. Purchase this ticket with some caution. No refunds are given on the AIA ticket if there is not line when you arrive.

What sized groups can go in?
All of the NECROPOLIS attractions are designed for groups of 6 or less to view. Larger groups will not be allowed together. If your group is larger than 6 people, it will be split and admitted in multiple groups. Larger than 6 people in a group may ruin the experience for your group. Catching up with the group in front of you should be avoided at all costs. Groups with less than 6 people may make the attraction more intense.

Are the monsters allowed to touch you?
The actors of NECROPOLIS will never intentionally touch you. Because of the closeness of their working conditions and your unknown reaction, incidental contact could occur. Some of the effects make come in contact with you.

Are there any age restrictions?
NECROPOLIS is recommended for adults and teens but younger kids may come if parents choose to bring them. .Minimum suggested age is 5 years old. Carrying children through is NOT recommended. Everyone entering any attraction must have a ticket. There are no refunds for anyone that decides not to finish the haunt. There are many emergency exits throughout each attraction in case anyone gets too scared to continue.

Are there any special pricing for children?
None of the NECROPOLIS attractions are made with young kids in mind. NECROPOLIS offers a reduced rate for younger people during the first hour of operation each day (until 8pm). NECROPOLIS is no less scary during this first hour but it is the only time children’s tickets are sold. This reduced rate ticket is sold only to patrons that are under the age of 12. Anyone 12 or older is considered an adult when purchasing a ticket. After the 8pm deadline, all tickets sold are adult tickets only no matter what the age of the patron is. Please if you want to utilize this reduced rate, you must purchase your ticket before 8pm.

Can we be thrown out of the facility for any reason?

Violation of these rules will usually bring a warning. Second infractions will usually being asked to leave without a refund.

Do you serve alcoholic beverages?
No! they are not allowed on the property so please do not bring any.

Is smoking allowed?
Smoking and vaping is allowed only outside the building. Smoking and vaping are NOT allowed indoors.

Can we take flash photos of your haunted house?
Photography of any sort is not allowed in any of the haunts. Haunted attractions are dark and people’s eyes (especially our actors) adjust to the low light. When you flash your camera or phone, you’re not only ruining other customers experience but you are hurting the actor’s eyes. Also the fog used inside the attraction ruins flash photography.

Although no photography or videotaping is allowed inside, the monsters working outside will quite often pose for pictures.

No pets. No weapons. No alcoholic beverages. No cameras. No smoking. No vaping. No laser pointers or flashlights. No food or beverages.

To change 100% the Necropolis group of attractions would be a monumental task. About 25 to 35% of the area is completely changed each season. Expect new effects, sets and scares.

No, there is no such haunted house. This is an urban/internet myth that pops up every year. However NECROPOLIS is the only haunted attraction in the Indianapolis area that is completely UNDERGROUND!!
